Pete Says

I started building sites to try to grasp what the web developers I employed (as owner of Magezine Publishing) did. The first site I built was bargh.co.uk - a personal profile site, giving me the chance to practice what I was learning about html. It was 2005 and at that time I didn't know what CSS really meant or why web used hexadecimal colour values and not RGB, etc. It was a steep learning curve!

As time passed, my thirst for knowledge introduced me to php. I struggled to understand programming code, but have managed to get to grips with basic database build and use of include files, etc, which has allowed me to add a degree of automation. Anything more complex and there's a large wooosh going over my head.

UPDATE Thursday 21 November 2024:

Quick edit of the CSS Style sheet to change colour to Pantone colour of the year 2018 - Ultra Violet 18-3838 or HEX #5F4B8B.

Just finished a redesign of this blackcatpr web site which has been a shabby looking thing for years. Bootstrap was used to give the responsive framework, and the Pantone colour of the year 2014 was used which is the purple behind this panel - Radiant Orchid 18-3224 - nice!

Web Partner

I have several ideas that I'm keen to progress. These would need someone with an in-depth knowledge of php, seo, apis and community expansion along with decent design skills. If you have the skills but lack the resources I'd be interested in talking.

If you have any comments about any of these web sites I would love to hear from you.
